Stand Together SF 2022 – 2023“Changing the Narratives” Art Campaign Kicks Off

The San Francisco Human Rights Commission and its Stand Together SF initiative is working to foster a positive and mutually supportive environment for seniors in diverse ethnic communities. Oftentimes, media coverage of events tends to focus on tensions between the Asian and Black communities while many stories of friendships and solidarity remain untold.

The driving force of this Art Campaign is to “Change the Narratives” and tell the stories of positive engagements between these two communities. Our focus is on the seniors who are all too often forgotten and whose presence we value. We invite the public to participate in this Art Campaign by submitting graphic images or short videos that depict the positive interactions and relationships between Asian and Black seniors and families. This campaign/contest is open to all ages.

Submission Requirements – All artwork and videos will be submitted digitally. Click here to submit you entry: https://bit.ly/standtogethersf
